What to say about a genius other than you are a genius. I have often been in awe of you and your brain. I think it is most amazing that not only do you have a brain, but you love to use it. I have always admired that about you, Caleb. I admire many things about you so it is hard to know where to begin and where to end because there is so much to say about you.
You are a thinker and you are rational, I admire these, especially your rationality and so appreciate your willingness to be the voice of reason in my life.
Thank you for your kindness, your gentleness, your humility, and your role in my life. I am so lucky to have a brother who cares and who is so smart. I have always been proud of you and I constantly brag about your accomplishments, your life, and your ability to be a genius with social skills.
I have always felt as if I was living in your shadow, but what a great shadow to live in. You set the bar high and I always strived to be like you in school, height, popularity, but mostly in the way you treat others. You are a genuinely kind soul who always seems to have time to help others in any way possible.
I am impressed by your commitment to your health and to the way you have inspired your family as well. You make my heart swell with pride when I think of you running a marathon.
You have handled life's difficulties with grace and I am very thankful for the example you have set for the rest of us. I appreciate how you flipped our heart stamp into a challenge and a reason to strive for excellence in training.
Thank you for being so gracious to me at Senior High and including me in your life and your group of friends. I know I must have been obnoxious, but you allowed it and you made me feel a part of your life. I treasure those times.
Thank you for your laughter, your jokes, your wit, your sarcasm, your brain, your ridiculous good looks, your style, and your love. You need to be as tall as you are because you give a lot of love.
I cannot wait to see where the world takes you, what other degrees you shall receive and how many more Koreans you can make fall in love with you, or introduce me to...hint hint.
I love you Caleb, thanks for shining in our lives. I am proud to call you my brother.

It is difficult to put into words, how much I love Caleb. I know he is the greatest person that I have ever met. That is why I want to spend all the rest of my days with the dude.
Caleb is one of the smartest people I know. Caleb is so smart. He is entirely rational with everything that he thinks about. That is why I think he would be a great professor of religion, or lawyer, or novelist.
Caleb is so smart that he is making a commitment to a healthier lifestyle. He reads book after book about health. He is does crazy runs up Mt. Baldy. He also walks to the library, bank and to the store to purchase local fruits and vegetables for us.
Caleb is the greatest because he makes my life better.
caleb is the first best friend i ever had. i remember bringing home school work so that i could "teach" caleb. clearly, it is due to me that he is so smart. :) jokes. i remember caleb was feisty - biting sometimes (but only when really mad), and then he hit my orange juice container when i was 5 and i still have the lip scar to prove it. but, after awhile, caleb grew to be less feisty and more sensitive and reflective. and before i knew what had happened, he had become my adviser in life. the level-headed one. i also remember our talks in the hall at 3222. and by then, only good remote control battles.
minus one incident in high school where i was super mean, i remember having fun carpooling to school, and cheering caleb on in basketball. we were friends even in high school, which is pretty neat. then, at his high school graduation, i cried harder than mom and dad about how proud i was of him and how i couldn't believe he'd be going out on his own.
during his college years it was so fun to drive to spokane and be able to visit. i loved being able to do that. it was so fun to see him come into his own and start forming his own ideas about the world. caleb is so nice, and his friends in college and after have seemed to really appreciate that kind nature.
i have loved visiting caleb in cali too. nice weather, fun stuff to do, nice wife...the usual. :) and, now it's been really cool to see caleb with evey. it's so fun to watch them with each other.
caleb is amazing. he is smart, kind, funny, and thoughtful. i love him so very much.
Well thank you everyone! I knew when I started doing the "In Praise of" series of posts that it wouldn't be long before one of you flipped it on me (thanks Hannah). That's totally not why I wanted to do it, but I appreciate all the kind things you've said anyway. I love you guys.
Caleb, you are all of the things everyone else has mentioned and more. I know that you gave your dad some of his happiest moments in life, being the #1 Senior High Basketball fan for a few years. He was so happy to get ready for the games and watch you and Dave improve each week. I'm glad you have continued to play basketball for fun. Doing that is just one of the ways you have honored your dad in your life.
Thank you for starting this blog. I have enjoyed reading all the great writing that has been posted. Many of the entries have helped me realize how much you all still miss your dad. You have provided a safe and respectful way for all of us to remember him and help each other.
Some fun memories: working on puzzles, Math Counts competitions, baseball games, Student Council events, your friends, your laugh, your sermon at Harvest Church, your valedictory speech.
You have faced many tough losses and helped your friends and family deal with death. You have an inner strength that we all rely on during tough times, and that is a double edged sword for you. Thanks for being our best cheerleader, encourager and friend. I am very proud of you and love you very much!
Mom
C Web is a genuine and loyal person--somebody I feel so fortunate to have gotten to know and become close to over the years. I have always appreciated your calm confidence and the way you make others feel important.
I was amazed after attending your wedding and seeing all your friends and the many ways in which they admire you.
You have been a great brother-in-law and friend to me over the years--for which I am very grateful.
Keep up the good work on your training. It was important for all of us to get our health and bodies in line and I'm glad you were the catalyst for that.
